Does the USPS put attempted delivery notices in mailboxes?
January 24th, 2010 | by admin |Andrea B asked:
Delivery confirmation says my package was delivered today…but it wasn’t. Would they put a delivery notice in someone’s mailbox or would they just tape it to the door? I’m just worried because it is really windy today, so maybe it blew away or something. I have one of those mailboxes that requires a key to open - it isn’t a box at the end of my driveway. Would they put a delivery notice in there or would they just tape it to the door?

It might have been delivered next door. This has happened to me. Check around the neighborhood. Someone else has it.
